Sinful Seniors of Sodom / San Francisco

Updated on February 24, 2013

The wicked and grievous Sin of Sodom

Sodom has the very bad reputation for its wickedness. "And the LORD said, ‘Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is grievous."(Gen. 18:20). Despite Abraham's plea for God's mercy to spare the city, not even ten righteous men could be found in Sodom, and the cities were judged by the LORD, then destroyed by "brimstone and fire." (Gen. 19:24)

Sodom was destroyed by God because its citizens were exceedingly sinful (Genesis 13:13). Ezekiel 16, which does mention their pride, also says they "committed abomination before" the Lord. Their actions at Lot's doorstep reflected that sinfulness (Genesis 19:4-11). When the men of Sodom said they wanted to "know" the messengers of God, they obviously had sexual intentions in mind. This is clear from Lot's unfortunate offer of his two daughters. Jude 7 reinforces this view as well: "As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

San Francisco holds many records on Homosexuality in the U.S.

According to Wikipaedia (Internet encyclopedia) California has the highest percentage (5.2%) of homosexual persons (1,338,164) living in one state in the U.S., and San Francisco has the highest percentage (15.4%) of gays and lesbians (94,234) living in one city in the United States of America. That makes San Francisco the Number 1 Gay City in America. This is a shameful title that no other city would like to have, but many people in San Francisco are proud of it. Recently they performed the first state recognized gay marriage in the State of California.

Gay marriages are taking place in the US state of California, as a landmark court ruling comes into effect.

California's Supreme Court ruled on May 15, 2008 that the ban on same-sex marriages was unconstitutional because it discriminated against gays.

That court ruling has now come into effect, paving the way for hundreds of gay and lesbian couples to marry over the next few days.

Octogenarians Del Martin (87) and Phyllis Lyon (84) took the first vows in San Francisco's ornate City Hall in a ceremony presided over by Mayor Gavin Newsom.

God will judge the Homosexual Community and those who support this Grievous Sin in San Francisco

Romans 1:24-32

•24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,

•25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

•26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

•27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

•28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

•29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,

•30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

•31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

•32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
